Rubio Briefed Pope On Grave Threat Of Iran

Secretary of State ๐Œ๐š๐ซ๐œ๐จ ๐‘๐ฎ๐›๐ข๐จ reported that he has ๐ฉ๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐จ๐ง๐š๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐›๐ซ๐ข๐ž๐Ÿ๐ž๐ ๐๐จ๐ฉ๐ž ๐‹๐ž๐จ ๐จ๐ง ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ญ๐ก๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ญ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ˆ๐ฌ๐ฅ๐š๐ฆ๐ข๐œ ๐‘๐ž๐ฉ๐ฎ๐›๐ฅ๐ข๐œ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ˆ๐ซ๐š๐ง ๐ฉ๐จ๐ฌ๐ž๐ฌ ๐ญ๐จ ๐ ๐ฅ๐จ๐›๐š๐ฅ ๐ฌ๐ž๐œ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ. This is a step that signals the Trump administration is actively working to bring the Holy See into the sphere of alignment with the dominant allied position on Iran and the threat of radical Islam.

OMG! Is The Pope Now Stricken With TDS?

When have you ever heard of a Pope holding impromptu "news conferences" and answering reporters' questions on the fly?

Well, yes -- Pope Francis did it.

And now, regrettably, it's continuing under Pope Leo who seems more and more to be not only Francis' protegรฉ but Francis on steroids.

Please note that for thousands of years before these two, Popes spoke sparingly and when they did it was in the form of serious public pronouncements issued with the full weight of the papacy. And all this happened without "media availabilities" as they are known to PR practitioners and journalists.

But now we have this: speaking to reporters, Pope Leo responded to the criticism he has received from Donald Trump: “The mission of the Church is to proclaim the Gospel, to preach peace. If someone wants to criticize me for proclaiming the Gospel, let him do so truthfully."

Remember, the criticism started with the Pope who attacked Trump and the Trump administration with not so veiled references. So, Trump being Trump, answered the Pope's salvos with a few choice words of his own.

Best advice here comes from noted Catholic TV host and commentator Raymond Arroyo:

"The Pope should refrain from these weekly press scrums. It allows the media to set the tone and lead the witness. Most of Leo’s predecessors made the news- they didn’t react to it. In this scenario the Pope is cast as just another talking head- it diminishes his office. The media is wagging the dog and the Pope is playing along- being dragged into non-controversy controversies."

Put another way: Popes shouldn't get involved in pi - - ing contests.

To this we would add that, so far, this Pope has been too available, too evident, too much in the news, too fast. To maintain his moral authority, the Pope must remain above the fray, above the day-to-day controversies (and perhaps faux controversies) and stunts that seem to absorb the media.

Pray that this becomes the norm once again.

Catholics, And Others: Ask These Questions . . .

Has Pope Leo XIV criticized the Democrat Party in America for running on abortion on demand -- even up till the time of birth?

Has he chastised the Democrat Party for legally harassing the Little Sisters of the Poor and forcing them to defend themselves up to the highest court in the land?
Has he given credit to President Trump for putting Supreme Court Justices on the court who overturned Roe v. Wade?

The answers are No, No, and NO!

Remember that!

Catholic Nun's 'Heartache' Over Pope's Statements

Mother Miriam, the foundress of the Daughters of Mary, Mother of Israel’s Hope and a prominent voice in traditional Catholic circles, has voiced deep concern over the Pope’s recent statements and gestures toward Islam, viewing them as a dangerous departure from the Church’s historic mission.
In her live broadcasts and public commentaries, she has argued that the Pope’s insistence that Islam poses no threat—coupled with actions such as designating a prayer room for Muslims in the Vatican Library—represents an embrace not merely of individual Muslims as persons to be evangelized, but of the religion itself, which she insists directly violates the First Commandment by implying that Muslims and Christians worship the same God. Mother Miriam contends that such interfaith overtures prioritize a false “unity” over truth, diluting the Church’s call to conversion and effectively equating Islam with the Catholic faith in a way that confuses the faithful and scandalizes the world. She has stated unequivocally that “the embracing of Islam is NOT of God,” warning that these papal initiatives grieve the heart of Christ and risk leading souls away from the fullness of revelation found only in the Catholic Church.

In her view, God Himself is troubled by these actions, as they compromise the Church’s singular duty to proclaim Jesus Christ as the sole Savior—-rather than fostering a syncretistic dialogue that she sees as spiritually perilous in an age of rising religious conflict.

In Case You Were Wondering . . . .

President Trump's approval rating with Catholics just JUMPED from 48 percent to 51 percent after calling out Pope Leo's hypocrisy, per Newsweek. The president now has the approval of a majority of US Catholics.

Heartfelt Suggestion For The Pope And The Church

From columnist and commentator Charles Gasparino:

As a Catholic, I don't buy that Donald Trump is dividing most Catholics at least in this country. Quite the opposite in fact. They agree with him because most American Cathloics hate that the church has become politically progressive, obsequious to the left and at times openly Marxist. The Pope-who is American--is literally suggesting that we should turn a blind eye to the murderous mullahs, and the American taxpayer should subsidize the world's poor through open borders. As a result, the Pope and the Catholic Church are losing their relevance for most American Catholics who believe they should stay out of politics and focus their attention on matters of faith and their own problems, lest we forget how they ignored child abuse for decades

Pope, Cardinals Ought Remember This . . .

MAGA didn't sue nuns to make them provide birth control or bend the knee to trans ideology.

MAGA didn't arrest innocent abortion protestors and charge them with federal crimes.

MAGA didn't try to make priests break the seal of the confessional. MAGA didn't label Catholics "domestic terrorists" and weaponize the FACE Act. Democrats did all this!

And one more thing? Who's appointees finally succeeded in getting Roe vs Wade overturned? That would Donald Trump and a Republican Senate.

Democrats harassed, berated, denigrated and tried to jail Catholics. Just ask the Little Sisters of the Poor who were sued or Mark Houck, a Pennsylvania pro-life Catholic activist who was arrested by the Biden Justice Department.

President Trump overturned all that. Trump delivered for Catholics.

Maybe it's time for the leaders of the "one true holy Catholic and apostolic church" to consider the central role of gratitude in the life of the Church.

The Pope VS The POTUS: Let's Sort It Out!

Columnist and attorney Christine Flowers joins blogger/podcaster Dan Cirucci for a no-holds-barred analysis of the conflict between Pope Leo and President Trump. How did it start; how might it end and why is it important?

President Trump: 'I Have To Do What's Right'

"The Pope has to understand that — it's very simple. I have nothing against the Pope." "I have to do WHAT'S RIGHT." "His brother is MAGA all the way!" "I'm not fighting with him. The Pope made a statement. He says Iran can have a nuclear weapon."

"I say Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon. And if the Pope looked at the 42,000 people that were killed over the last two or three months as a protester with no weapons, no nothing — I mean, you take a look at that. So I can disagree with the Pope. I have a right to disagree."

Pope VS POTUS, The Catholic League Speaks Out

Excerpts, from Bill Donohue of the highly respected Catholic League:

Pope Leo’s desire for peace is understandable. Less understandable was his sweeping statement on March 1 claiming that peace is achieved “only” through “dialogue.” That is simply not true. Historically, war has frequently resulted in peace, an outcome that comes about when dialogue fails. That is why the Catholic Church is not a pacifist religion—it understands the necessity of “just wars.”

Trump’s comment that the pope is weak on crime is no doubt in reference to the pontiff’s criticisms of mass deportations. The U.S. bishops have also been vocal in denouncing the Trump administration on this issue. Cardinal Blase Cupich, Archbishop of Chicago, recently said that “it’s very clear the American people are saying, ‘We really didn’t vote for this.’”

In fact, the American people did vote for mass deportations: Trump made this one of his key issues. Moreover, virtually every survey taken on this subject reveals that a majority of Americans approve mass deportations. They do so because they oppose the Biden policy of deliberately allowing 20 million illegal aliens to crash our borders, about which Catholics—55 percent of whom voted for Trump—heard very little from their leaders, either in Rome or at home.

Pope Leo XIV has not openly rejected the “just war” doctrine, but recent comments he made about the conflict in Iran come close.
On Easter Sunday, Pope Leo XIV called for all nations to lay down their arms and choose negotiation. On March 1, he went further, saying about the Middle East, “Stability and peace are not achieved through mutual threats, nor through the use of weapons, which sow destruction, suffering, and death, but only through reasonable, sincere, and responsible dialogue.” That comment drew the ire of Wall Street Journal columnist Bill McGurn.

McGurn took strong issue with the word “only.” He is, of course, right. Countless wars have resulted in peace. In fairness, the pope was not speaking from a traditional mantle of authority—it was a tweet. No matter, he left himself open for rebuke. It also needs to be said that there are those who wage war on innocents and explicitly reject dialogue. What then? There are times when we can’t talk our way out of a confrontation.

From Lifelong Catholic Bill O'Reilly . . .

Speaker Johnson On Just Wars, Lives Saved

Message To Catholics: You Don't Have To Choose!

From a friend on X:

Well it looks like the Pope’s interference in American politics is still top of the news cycle, so I want to repeat something. The Democrat/Media Complex deliberately set this up so faithful Catholics would be forced to choose: Trump or your faith? That’s a false dichotomy. The Pope is speaking on politics, offering his opinion only and he is not speaking ex cathedra. You are not obligated to agree with the Pope in these matters where he speaks as an ordinary human. If you are a Catholic, you can still support Trump, and disagree with what the Pope is saying about the Iran War and American politics, and still remain true to your Catholic faith. Please do not fall for the either/or con job.

And Now, This -- From Our Vice President, J.D.Vance
