Resignation Statement Of Bill Cosby
"I have always been proud of my association with Temple University. I have always wanted to do what would be in the best interests of the university and its students. As a result, I have tendered my resignation from the Temple University Board of Trustees."

Chris Rock Calls Bill Clinton 'A Dick'
Chris Rock is making the TV talk show rounds to promote his new movie and, in the process, he's making news.
Rock, who's known to speak his mind both as part of his comedy routines and in his interviews, says Bill Clinton is "a dick" because he's "a guy who embarrassed his wife."
Rock also blasted Clinton for his negative comments about Barack Obama when he was on the campaign trail in 2008.
Then, speaking further about Clinton, Rock added this:
“[If] I had to choose between pissing off all the black people in the world or having my wife mad at me? Then the hell with the black people, because he doesn’t live with all the black people. He lives with his wife.”
When Rock was reminded that people called Bill Clinton "the first black president" he explained that this was "until an actual black guy showed up."
As for Hillary Clinton, Rock said he would "love" to see her run for president but Rock also made a reference to her age, likening her to John McCain.

Bombshell: Cosby Resigns From Temple Board
Bill Cosby has resigned from the Temple University Board of Trustees. Cosby resigned today
following sontinuing allegations accusing him of drugging and
sexually assaulting women over many years.
Cosby released the following statement this afternoon:

Lynne Abraham has dedicated her life to serving Philadelphia. Now, Lynne’s running for mayor because she has the vision and experience to transform Philadelphia into America’s Next Great City.
Lynne’s roots are proud and deep Philadelphia roots. The daughter of first-generation Americans, she grew up on the margins of poverty. Her father earned fifteen dollars a week, in good times, working on Dock Street hauling vegetables. Her grandparents were immigrants — a tailor and a butcher — from Europe.
Like her parents and grandparents, Lynne was set on becoming a trailblazer. After graduating from Germantown High School, she became the first member of her family to attend college. She went on to earn her law degree from Temple Law School, where she was one of only two women in her class.
Beginning to realize her own American Dream, Lynne Abraham entered public service — working to make it possible for every citizen of Philadelphia to realize their dreams. From job creation to law enforcement, her resume working for our city is unrivaled.
Leading the Philadelphia Redevelopment Authority, one of the largest development and job creating agencies, Abraham was responsible for saving University Science Center, the nation’s largest urban technology park; establishing Franklintown; and bringing new jobs, like Gimbel’s Department Store in Market Street East, to the city.
She was the first woman elected to the municipal court, then served as a common pleas court judge. She ran the city’s law office, with a multi-million dollar budget, more than 600 lawyers and staff and three different unions.
Lynne’s most important position was serving as district attorney for five terms — at the time the highest elected office held by a woman in the city. As the city’s top prosecutor, she put away rapists and murders, consoled victims of crime, and worked with the police to make our city safer.
Few other public servants have been elected city-wide eight times, but Lynne Abraham has what it takes to win. She’s running for mayor to fight for our future. Lynne knows how far our city has come—and she has the vision to take us forward.
Perfiormance Added For Frozen On C'mas Day
Due to a tremendous public response, an additional performance has been added to the two-week run of performances of Disney on Ice presents Frozen, presented by Stonyfield YoKids Organic Yogurt, at Wells Fargo Center on Thursday, December 25 at 6 p.m. This brings the total of shows now to 27.
Tickets are available for the newly added performance, as well as all other performances, exclusively through ComcastTIX, online at ComcastTix.com, by phone at 1-800-298-4200, or in person at the Wells Fargo Center box office.
“Disney On Ice presents Frozen is undoubtably the hottest ticket in the Philadelphia region this holiday season," said Global Spectrum’s Matt Homan, General Manager of the Wells Fargo Center. "We are excited and prepared to host record crowds throughout the two-week run of performances."
The overwhelming demand Nation-wide for tickets to see the Disney phenomenon hit the ice has lead to additional performances in every city the tour has appeared thus far along the 37-city tour, which opened in Providence, RI in September.
“In our more than 30 years of producing Disney On Ice shows, Feld Entertainment has been waiting for a film like this,” says producer Nicole Feld. “While it might seem obvious that Frozen is well suited for the ice, this Disney On Ice production will touch audiences emotionally through innovative show elements and world-class skating.”
The Academy Award© winning tale will be told live for the first time in this production, capturing the dynamic between two royal sisters, Anna and Elsa. Anna, a girl with an extraordinary heart, embarks on an epic journey to find her sister, the magical Elsa, who is determined to remain secluded as she finally feels free to test the limits of her powers. Rugged mountain man Kristoff, his loyal reindeer Sven, the lovable and hilarious snowman Olaf and the mystical trolls help Anna along the way in this story about love conquering fear. Audiences will get to sing along with such musical masterpieces as “Let it Go,” “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?” and “Fixer Upper.”
Frozen directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee add, “Seeing audiences around the world embrace Frozen has been the experience of a lifetime. And to now have the chance to consult with the talented team at Feld Entertainment and watch their creation come to life on ice, is thrilling.”

Pope Calls On Muslim Leaders To Condemn Terrorism
Yesterday, as is his custom, Pope Francis spoke with the journalists accompanying him on the return flight from Istanbul to Rome. The questions touched mostly on the themes of relations between Islam and Christianity, and ecumenism.
The Holy Father affirmed that the Qu'ran is a book of peace and that Islam cannot be equated with terrorism; however, he remarked, it is necessary for Muslim political, religious and academic leaders to condemn terrorist attacks so that the people may hear this directly from such figures. He also revealed that in the Blue Mosque, he prayed above all for peace.
Referring later on to so-called “Christianophobia” or anti-Christian sentiment, as opposed to “Islamophobia”, he underlined that today there are many Christian martyrs among the populations of the Middle East, and he mentioned those compelled to leave their homes. This martyrdom has been the fate of faithful of different Christian confessions and has given rise to an “ecumenism of blood”.
With regard to the Middle East, he spoke about the situation in Syria, condemning the traffic and sale of arms, and reiterated that behind every war there are always political and economic problems and commercial interests, in attempts to save a system that accords centrality to the god of money, rather than human beings.
The Pope observed that it seems to him we are experiencing a third world war, fragmented and dispersed in various places, and expressed his wish to go to Iraq, although he remarked that at the moment it would not be possible since it would create important problems for the authorities and difficulties regarding security. Francis revealed that he considers the opening of the Turkish-Armenian border to be a very important issue, but is aware that there are political issues that make this difficult, and he invited prayer to contribute to making this opening possible.
The Pope focused closely on the question of ecumenism, commenting that it is a path that must be followed together and stressing the importance of spiritual ecumenism – praying, working and carrying out charitable works together. He added that with orthodoxy, this joint path is proving successful thanks to the sacraments and the apostolic succession, and that it will be fundamental to provide an answer to the question posed by John Paul II when he asked the Orthodox to help arrive at a formula for primacy acceptable to these Churches.
He also expressed his wish to go to Moscow in order to meet with the Patriarch Kiril, but not at the moment due to the pressing problems in Ukraine. Again in relation to ecumenism, he stressed that when the Church looks inwardly to herself rather than at Christ, when she believes herself to be a creator of light rather than a bringer of light, she creates divisions. Finally, he remarked on the desire of Christians to be able to celebrate Easter on the same date.
One of the final questions related to the recent Synod of Bishops, and the Holy Father affirmed that the Synod is a path and a process, and therefore a person's opinion or a draft document cannot be given consideration. Nor is the Synod a parliament, but rather a protected space where one may let the voice of the Spirit be heard.
