Because Dom Giordano, the Dean of Philadelphia talk radio, is widely respected by his colleagues and truly revered by listeners in one of the nation's toughest and most discriminating media markets. And that's no small feat considering how long Giordano has been doing what he's been doing. He currently dominates midday on WPHT 1210 Philadelphia and everywhere via Audacy.

Dom Giordano is so thoroughly a Philly guy that he glide seamlessly from judging the Miss Kensington Pageant to chatting up a US Senator to critiquing the week's biggest sports triumphs (or fumbles!) to scouting the town's best cheesesteak. And he does it all while offering an intelligent “guy next door” sensibility that’s as comfortable as your favorite chair -- or his reliable Barcalounger! 

Born and raised in South Philly, Dom’s local flavor makes him one of the region’s best-connected media personalities. Dom Giordano’s mix of compelling topics, great local callers and provocative guests produces fascinating talk radio. Dom began his unique path to broadcasting as a high school teacher in the Delaware Valley, where he received widespread media coverage for his innovative teaching and motivational techniques with his students.

Giordano was hired at WWDB Radio in 1987, becoming the country’s first teacher-turned-talk show host. “Talkers Magazine” has named Dom one of the Top 100 Most Influential Talk Show Hosts in America year after year. Dom is a frequent guest commentator on national TV and radio programs and also writes occasional columns for newspapers throughout the region. 

Dom graduated from LaSalle University with a degree in education and earned a Masters Degree in Education from Antioch University. He also attended Rutgers University Law School from 1979 to 1982. Dom and his wife Rosemary, also a teacher, reside in Philadelphia with their two sons, Luke and DJ.
