Lying Mikie might come out of this stronger then before.
Once she got Caldwell to leave quietly , this whole thing goes away for most of the public .
No matter what the GOP says or does.
Except if they can prove she knew this guy was a creep before she picked him and covered it up .
I noticed one statement yesterday that could be a problem. She was asked twice by the press about allegations during the campaign that were dismissed
She said “they were administration issues from Centenary College."
What does that even mean ?
Was it sexual harassment or not ?
The GOP should hire some private investigators and try to get more info .
Otherwise lying Mikey moves on and looks like a hero for women in Trenton etc.
She did refer to the past in Trenton covering this stuff up several times.
I really think the GOP needs to recalculate their attacks on her. She’s a lot stronger and smarter ( cunning ) than we think she is.
The public at large are fooled easily by someone like this.

I totally agree with my friends very perceptive analysis of the situation. As for those "administrative issues" that the governor referred to, a quick AI search uncovered this:
Around the time of his [Caldwell's] resignation [as President of Centenary University] NJ.com noted that Centenary University began facing serious financial and planning concerns raised by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. While the university's subsequent leadership has taken steps to address these concerns, the timing has raised public questions about whether the roots of the financial crisis trace back to Caldwell's two-year tenure as president.
And there's this, as well:
A Centenary University employee had attempted to report a hostile work environment during Caldwell's presidency. The employee reached out to Governor Mikie Sherrill’s 2025 campaign staff to air the grievance, but the staffer reportedly ghosted and blocked the woman. This added significant pressure prior to his eventual resignation as lieutenant governor.
Bottom line: Caldwell simply was not properly vetted and, in her first really big decision as a candidate for governor, Sherrill showed very poor judgement in choosing him as her running mate. Furthermore, she compounded that by fumbling the follow up after initial revelations about Caldwell were apparently brought to the campaign's attention last year.
