Tonight, The Oscars Will Sing And Dance

You may associate the Oscars with drama.
But tonight this glittering annual awards-fest will be all singing, all dancing.
In fact, the Oscarcast will be a tribute to great movies musicals of the past ten years.
These will include both Dreamgirls and Chicago.
It all makes sense since the Oscar emcee is Seth MacFarlane who is himself a song and dance man.
The Chicago number will be featuring an on-stage reunion of Catherine Zeta Jones, Renee Zellweger, Queen Latifah and Richard Gere. And Jennifer Hudson will reprise Dreamgirls. Also, it's expected that Barbra Streisand (making a rare Oscar appearance) will sing The Way We Were as a tribute to the late Marvin Hamlisch. Plus, Grammy-winner Adele will be part of the James Bond salute celebrating 50 years of that venerable spy film franchise.
One drawback: The show may run way overtime. We hear the producers are still tweaking the lineup but will be hard-pressed to get everything in at under 220 minutes. Whew!
