Archbishop To Lead Mass For Deceased Prelate

Philadelphia Archbishop Charles J. Chaput, O.F.M. Cap. will be the principal celebrant of a Mass for the Dead for the happy repose of the soul of Archbishop Francis B. Schulte on Monday, January 25, 2016.

Arrival of the Motorcade (8:45 a.m.)
Reception of the Body Followed by Viewing (9:00 a.m.)
Celebration of Mass for the Dead (11:00 a.m.)

This Mass will provide an opportunity for clergy and faithful of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia to gather in prayerful remembrance for Archbishop Schulte’s long service to its local Church as a priest and auxiliary bishop prior to his appointments as the Bishop of the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston and Archbishop of New Orleans. All are welcome to attend.


A funeral Mass for Archbishop Schulte, along with interment of the body, will take place in New Orleans, Louisiana, on Thursday, January 28, 2016.
