He Said He Might, And Now He Just Did . . .
President Donald Trump today granted a pardon to former Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio, the man known as the "toughest sheriff in America," less than a month after he was convicted of criminal contempt. Trump had signaled this week that the first presidential pardon of his administration would go to Arpaio, 85. Trump has frequently praised Arpaio, a political ally, for his hardline immigration stance.
