Rendell: Eagles Coach Reid Will Resign
Former Pennsylvania Governor. Ed Rendell says Philadelphia Eagles football coach and general manager Andy Reid will be gone by the end of the current football season. Rendell, a former Philadelphia mayor and avid sports fan is also a close friend of the executives who run the Philadelphia Eagles National Football League team.
He said today that the long-time Eagles coach will probably not make it to next season. Rendell said the only chance Reid has of surviving is "if he wins his last seven games." Rendell chuckled at that thought.
Rather than be fired, Rendell said that Reid would simply resign.
