New Jersey Governor Chris Christie (a former federal prosecutor) notes that New Jersey has one of the nation's toughest gun laws and he supports it.
Furthermore, Christie says we must examine our present culture of violence, the media, video games and our policies toward those with mental disorders as well as "mental health treatment and the stigma associated with it."
More from Christie: ”What role does the media play in terms of the violence we see on television and the movies? And the violent video games that I think desensitize our children to the real effects of violence. So I think we have to have a national discussion.”
