Such A Glorious Sound For All To Hear!

Yannick Nézet-Séguin and the Philadelphia Orchestra returned to the national airwaves beginning May 15 with a new series on SiriusXM Satellite Radio. The concerts will air three times a week on Symphony Hall, one of the satellite radio leader's most popular classical programs. In addition to the concerts, there will be commentary by Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin and insider information from members of the Orchestra.
"It is a thrill to be providing such unique programming to SiriusXM," said Philadelphia Orchestra President and CEO Allison Vulgamore. "Working with such an innovative industry leader marks our historically founded, current, and ongoing commitment to make our art accessible via technology, and with the extraordinary Yannick/Philadelphia relationship, we have content of the highest quality to offer."

More information and a list of the first eight programs can be found on the Orchestra's website. The programs are from throughout Yannick Nézet-Séguin's tenure in Philadelphia. Weekly broadcasts of The Philadelphia Orchestra will continue to be heard on terrestrial radio on WRTI each Sunday at 1 PM.

The Philadelphia Orchestra's weekly broadcasts on SiriusXM are sponsored through a generous gift by David and Sandy Marshall on behalf of the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation.
