College NCAA Soccer Cup Tickets Now On Sale
Tickets for the 2013 NCAA Men’s College Cup, to be played December 13 and 15 at PPL Park in Chester, Pa., are now on sale. Reserved tickets for all sessions of the championship, including the semifinals and the championship game, can be purchased by visiting www.ncaa.com/menscollegecup or by clicking here.
This marks only the second time the Men’s College Cup has been held in the Philadelphia area and the first in more than 30 years. All-session tickets currently available give fans the best opportunity to secure seats in prime viewing locations. All-session tickets can be purchased in the midfield ($55-65) or in general reserved seating ($35-45). Single session tickets will be available later in the fall.
“PPL Park has built a reputation as a go-to venue for a variety of collegiate events, hosting numerous sports in regular season and championship competition. We are proud to now bring the NCAA’s pinnacle soccer championship event, the College Cup, to PPL Park,” said Philadelphia Union CEO & Operating Partner Nick Sakiewicz. “We believe, as does the NCAA, that PPL Park, with its central location, easy access and world class amenities is an ideal venue for soccer fans throughout the country. We look forward to welcoming soccer fans from around the country to enjoy watching elite collegiate teams in one of the best soccer stadiums in America, PPL Park.”
PPL Park opened in 2010 and serves as the home for the Philadelphia Union of Major League Soccer. It has also served as a home site for Villanova men’s and women’s soccer and football. The seating capacity for soccer is 18,500. The venue, located on the waterfront in Chester, Pa., features 29 luxury suites and a view of the Delaware River.
“It is a privilege for Villanova University to serve as host of the 2013 Men’s College Cup,” said Villanova Director of Athletics Vince Nicastro. “The combination of the finest college soccer teams in the nation, playing in a world-class stadium and being supported by a terrific soccer market is certain to result in a tremendous experience for everyone involved.”
Indiana is the reigning National Champion after defeating Georgetown in the 2012 National Championship at Regions Park in Hoover, Ala. The participants for the 2012 Men’s College Cup also included Creighton and Maryland.
