'All The Way' Breaks B'way Box Office Records

Producers of the Tony Award-winning Broadway production of All The Way, starring Tony Award-winner Bryan Cranston (“Breaking Bad”) as President Lyndon B. Johnson, are proud to announce that the show broke Broadway box office records the week ending June 22, 2014. The show grossed $1,425,001 during that week which is more than any other straight play has grossed in one eight-performance week in the history of Broadway.

It has already been previously reported that the play recouped its investment of $3.9 million as of May 31st. All The Way is currently playing at the Neil Simon Theatre (250 West 52nd Street) and is written by Tony Award-winnerRobert Schenkkan and directed by Bill Rauch.

The Broadway production of All The Way began previews on February 10, 2014, officially opened on March 6, 2014, and its strictly limited engagement concludes this Saturday, June 29th at 3 pm. It will be the longest running new play of this season, having played 131 performances.

All The Way is the most honored production of the season having received the 2014 Drama Desk Award, the New York Drama Critics’ Circle Award, the Drama League Award, and the Outer Critics Circle Award in addition to the Tony Award for Best Play. For his portrayal of LBJ, Cranston has won the 2014 Drama Desk Award, Outer Critics Circle Award, and Theatre World Award in addition to Tony Award for Best Leading Actor in a Play.

All The Way takes audiences behind the doors of the Oval Office and inside the first year of Lyndon B. Johnson’s presidency and his fight to pass a landmark civil rights bill. In addition to Cranston, All The Way features Eric Lenox Abrams, Betsy Aidem, J. Bernard Calloway, Rob Campbell, Brandon J. Dirden, James Eckhouse, Peter Jay Fernandez, Christopher Gurr, William Jackson Harper, Michael McKean, John McMartin, Christopher Liam Moore, Robert Petkoff, Ethan Phillips, Richard Poe, Roslyn Ruff, Susannah Schulman, Bill Timoney and Steve Vinovich.

Originally presented at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and subsequently at the American Repertory Theater, All the Way is produced on Broadway by Jeffrey Richards, Louise Gund, Jerry Frankel, Stephanie P.
