Bring Food For Needy To Friday Flyers Game

The Philadelphia Flyers are dedicating their “Orange and Black Friday” game against the Winnipeg Jets at the Wells Fargo Center on Friday, November 29th at 11:30 a.m. to help feed the hungry in the Greater Philadelphia Region and raise funds for Philabundance.

“There are many people living in the Greater Philadelphia Region who will not be able to properly celebrate the holidays with a nice warm meal,” said Comcast-Spectacor President Peter Luukko. “Our game on Black Friday is a chance to make a difference- raising funds and collecting food to support Philabundance via WMMR’s Campout for Hunger.”

In support of WMMR’s Preston and Steve’s “Camp Out For Hunger” food drive, which occurs at XFINITY Live! Philadelphia from Monday, December 2 through Friday, December 6, Flyers Charities will dedicate all proceeds of the Orange and Black Friday game’s 50/50 raffle to Philabundance. In addition, fans attending the game are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to the game to support the Camp Out for Hunger.

“We are thrilled the Flyers organization and their fans will be contributing in such a significant way to this year’s Campout,” states WMMR Program Director Bill Weston. “With so many more fellow citizens in need this year, it’s crucial we all step up our game in what has become the single largest food drive on the Philabundance annual calendar.”

Tickets to see the Flyers and Jets on Orange and Black Friday at 11:30 a.m. are on sale now at ComcastTIX, by visiting the Wells Fargo Center box office, by calling 215-218-PUCK or by visiting PhiladelphiaFlyers.com.

Philabundance is a non-profit food bank that serves the Philadelphia and Delaware Valley region of Pennsylvania, United States. It is the largest such organization in the region.
