New Jersey State Senator Michael Testa (R-1) blasted Governor Phil Murphy’s newly issued executive order requiring two-year-old children to wear masks at day care:
“Governor Murphy’s mask mandate for two-year-olds is absolutely ridiculous and likely unenforceable.
“Is Murphy going to close day care centers that parents are depending on to get back to work if they can’t get children barely older than infants to keep their masks on? Are toddlers going to be carted off to jail for ripping their masks off, which they inevitably will do?
“It’s hard to imagine Governor Murphy’s toddler mask mandate is enforceable in any way that doesn’t do more harm than good. So what’s the point?”
