We last saw Congressman Adler over the Christmas holidays and enjoyed a nice chat with him.
He was philosophical about his loss in last November's election and appeared to be in a confident state of mind -- very much looking forward to the future. He's a bright guy and we wish him nothing but the best -- a long and happy life surrounded by the joys of family and friends.
With more details, here's an excerpt from a story by Jane Roh at the Camden Courier-Post:
Former U.S. Rep. John Adler, a longtime New Jersey state senator and councilman in Cherry Hill, is recovering from emergency heart surgery, the Courier-Post has confirmed.
Per a statement from his current employer, law firm Greenberg Traurig:
Former Representative John Adler had emergency heart surgery after contracting staph bacterial endocarditis. He is recuperating in the hospital in the company of his family. At this time, Mr. Adler and his family request that their wishes for privacy be respected. Thank you for all your good wishes and show of friendship and support.Click here for more on this story.
