Even in midwinter, enchanting Hilton Head Island maintains its beguiling, natural beauty.
Indeed, as these photos from our recent trip to the low country attest, this is a time for the island to refresh itself without summer's crush of tourists.
And it was a time of renewal for us as well.
The angle of the sun, the brisk breezes, the snap in the air and the vast, open beachfront -- all of these are remarkably inviting through the cool weather months. While we visited the island temperature ranged from the mid 50s into the mid 70s. Delightful!
