Global Spectrum, operators of the Wells Fargo Center, are preparing to rock out, literally. The arena is set to host four concerts in five days with some of the world's most popular acts, including Selena Gomez (Friday, October 18), Drake (Saturday, October 19), and Pearl Jam (Monday, October 21 and Tuesday, October 22).
"This is truly a very exciting fall line up for us at Wells Fargo Center," said Global Spectrum's Matt Homan, General Manager of the Wells Fargo Center. "We start it off with our four shows in five days and it continues straight through until the end of the year. We literally have something for everyone this fall with our concert line up. It's also looking like 2014 will be just as amazing."
The three artists represent 34 different Billboard Magazine Top 10 singles.
Gomez will kick off the busy week as part of a 56-city world tour in support of her highly anticipated “Just Dance” debut solo album released this summer. As an artist, Gomez has already sold more than 10 million singles in the U.S., along with three RIAA-certified top-ten debuting gold albums, and three #1 Billboard Dance Singles.
Rap icon Drake will electrify fans performing as part of his “Would You Like a Tour?” Drake, who released his new album “Nothing Was The Same” on September 24, is a two-time platinum selling and Grammy winning artist who last performed at Wells Fargo Center as part of Powerhouse in 2010.
Pearl Jam, the nine-time platinum selling and Grammy winning grunge band, released their 10th studio album “Lightning Bolt” on October 15. Having the distinction of closing down the Spectrum, Pearl Jam last performed in Philadelphia as part of Jay Z’s Made In America Festival in 2012. Their epic four-night run to close the Spectrum in October of 2009 was documented as a multiple disc box set.
