XFINITY Live! To Award $10,000 In Prize Money


Over $10,000 in cash and prizes will be given out as part of a full-day of Halloween-themed events at XFINITY Live! Philadelphia on Saturday, October 26 beginning at 9 a.m.

The day begins with the 2nd annual Flyers Charities 5k Fun Run and Walk at 9 a.m. and concludes with the 2nd annual Nightmare on Broad Street, the city’s biggest Halloween party, beginning at 9 p.m.

Competitive and amateur runners dressed in their most creative costumes or favorite Flyers gear are encouraged to participate in the Flyers Charities Halloween 5k Fun Run and Walk benefitting Flyers Charities beginning at 9 a.m. The event features a family fun area that will include interactive inflatables, face painters, and pumpkin painting. Prizes are awarded for the top male and female runner. Registration is available by logging on to www.ComcastSpectacorCharities.org/5k.

The Philadelphia College Hockey Face-Off featuring Penn State matching up against the University of Vermont takes places at the Wells Fargo Center at 5 p.m. Those attending the game are encouraged to stop by XFINITY Live! Philadelphia in their team gear for drink specials. Following the game, Penn State fans can watch the much anticipated Penn State vs. Ohio State football game on the outdoor HD screen at Xfinity Live! beginning at 8 p.m.

The biggest Halloween party on the East Coast begins at 9 p.m. featuring WMMR-FM DJ Jackie Bam Bam and includes over $10,000 in cash and prizes, such as trips to the Caribbean, Las Vegas, and tickets to a Philadelphia Eagles road game to winners of the evening’s costume contests. Local cover band Go Go Gadjet will perform in the Marketplace at 10:30 p.m.

XFINITY Live! Philadelphia is a dining and entertainment district centered in the heart of the South Philadelphia Sports Complex. The one-of-a-kind venue features over a dozen restaurant and entertainment choices, including six main venues: Broad Street Bullies Pub, PBR Bar & Grill (Professional Bull Riders), Philly MarketPlace, Spectrum Grill, Victory Beer Hall and the first-ever NBC Sports Arena. XFINITY Live! is a joint partnership between Philadelphia-based Comcast-Spectacor and Baltimore-based The Cordish Companies.
