Now Acting Boldly To Protect All Americans
“The first duty of the federal government is to keep our citizens safe. Since the United States first became aware on Dec. 30 of what has become known as the novel coronavirus, America’s public health officials have closely monitored the situation, worked to understand the virus and taken steps to limit Americans’ exposure to it,” Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and HHS Secretary Alex Azar write in USA Today.

“President Donald Trump is proposing a $900 million increase in education spending to teach skills and trades, in what would be a historic federal infusion into a spending area that’s been stagnant for years.” The President believes in strong career paths “for students as alternatives to a four-year degree,” Jeff Amy reports for The Associated Press.
“The optimism of small businesses remains near an all-time high,” Jeffry Bartash reports. The reason? “Small businesses continue to build on the solid foundation of supportive federal tax policies and a deregulatory environment that allows owners to put an increased focus on operating and growing their businesses,” said NFIB chief economist William Dunkelberg.
