Memorable Summer Sights In Washington, DC

The dazzling pedestrian walkway connecting the National Gallery of Art to its modernesque East Wing.

The grand atrium of the National Gallery's East Wing featuring a huge mobile by Alexander Calder.

The full text of the First Amendment to the US Constitution engraved on the outer wall of the Newseum. It reads: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

A sign on the back of a van not far from the US Capitol.

A curved wall and its reflection at the National World War II memorial. The wall contains 4,048 gold stars, each representing 100 Americans who died in the War.
